• "Never interupt someone doing what you said couldn't be done" Amelia Earhart

Flying isn’t just a skill for me—it’s a way of being. I have a passion for radial engines, flying boats and vintage aircraft. I took 1st Place flying my 1947 Piper SuperCruiser, "Poptart," in the 2023 Palms to Pines Air Race—navigating with the slowest aircraft using old-school stick-and-rudder style.
I’ve also faced a real-life in-flight emergency, an experience that only deepened my love for flying and honed my mindset in the face of fear.
Aviation has always mirrored how I coach people daily, overcoming fear is about knowing the risk, creating safety and doing it anyway. I focus on a growth mindset, learning how to navigate turbulence, trust your internal instruments, and make peace with the unknown. It’s why my aerial book tour and speaking events are rooted in the metaphor of flight.
Every time I fly, I remember that clarity comes from a perspective above the clouds, but confidence comes from navigating the turbulence.
I spent most of June 2025, co-piloting 5,000nm in the Air Race Classic - a cross country journey from Alabama to Washington in a Cessna 180 SkyWagon, team name SkyWaggin' Chicks. it was a great trial run to my upcoming 7,000nm trip...
In September I'll fly Scarlett, my 1944 Stinson Reliant (gullwing) in the first ever aerial book tour. You can follow the journey filled with behind the scenes, sky-high reflections and good old-fashion grease monkey grit on Instagram @SkyTalkDoc
