• "Never interupt someone doing what you said couldn't be done" Amelia Earhart

Flying isn’t just a skill for me—it’s a way of being. I’m a commercially rated instrument, tailwheel, multi-engine, and seaplane pilot with a passion for radial engines and vintage aircraft. I split my time between Southeast Alaska, Northern California, and Central America, and fly with the same intentionality and courage I bring to my work with clients.
Flying my 1947 Piper SuperCruiser, "Poptart," I took First Place in the 2023 Palms to Pines Air Race—navigating with the slowest aircraft using old-school stick-and-rudder style. I’ve also faced a real-life in-flight emergency, an experience that only deepened my love for flying and honed my mindset in the face of fear.
Aviation has always mirrored how I coach people daily, overcoming fear is about knowing the risk, creating safety and doing it anyway. I focus on a growth mindset, learning how to navigate turbulence, trust your internal intstrument, and make peace with the unknown. It’s why my aerial book tour and speaking events are rooted in the metaphor of flight.
"Every time I fly, I remember that clarity comes from altitude, and confidence comes from taking off scared."
In 2025, I'll participate as co-pilot in the Air Race Classic, traveling from Alabama to Washington in a Cessna 180 SkyWagon. Our team name is the SkyWagginChicks.
I'm also flying across the U.S. in Poptart for my Wounds to Wings Aerial Book Tour—you can check that out, including a live interactive map using the navigation at the top (under Media + Tour).
