Healing is a load of crap...

(And Why Most Self-Help Keeps You Stuck)

You’ve tried the self-help thing.

You’ve journaled, meditated, walked barefoot in the grass, maybe even forgiven your parents in a letter you didn’t send.
And still—you feel stuck. You overreact in ways that feel irrational. You shut down at the worst moments. You chase the same types of people. And deep down, you wonder:

Why am I still like this?

Here’s the truth: You can’t heal what you haven’t named. And until you uncover your Primal Wound, everything else is a bandage.

The Real Reason You’re Stuck

Healing gets a lot of air time these days. There are mantras, breathwork apps, crystals, ice baths, coaching certifications... and yet so many people are still stuck in the same emotional loops they’ve been in for years.

Why?

Because they’re trying to fix behaviors instead of identifying the belief driving them. That belief is your root wound — the subconscious conclusion you came to about yourself at a young age, usually in response to emotional neglect, trauma, inconsistency, or chaos.

This wound quietly hijacks your nervous system, your relationships, your boundaries, your career choices — your entire life.

And until you uncover it, your healing efforts won’t stick. They’ll bounce off the armor your body built to survive the past.

What Is a Primal Wound?

A Primal Wound is a deeply embedded emotional belief you adopted to make sense of pain. It usually forms between ages 0–10, when your brain is still building a blueprint for how the world works — and more importantly, how you

fit into it.

If a caregiver was emotionally unavailable, explosive, critical, or inconsistent, your body didn’t say, “They must be struggling with their own unresolved wounds.”

It said:

“I must not matter.”

  • “I must be the problem.”
  • “I need to be better, quieter, smarter, more lovable…”
  • The wound becomes a lens you see everything through. And until you name it, you’ll keep reacting to the world from it.

“Okay… So How Do I Find Mine?”

Step 1: Track the Trigger

Think of the last time you had a big emotional reaction — tears, anger, panic, withdrawal.

Step 2: Ask: What Story Did I Tell Myself?

“They’re going to leave me.”

  • “They don’t respect me.”
  • “I’m not good enough.”
  • “No one ever listens to me.”
  • Go deeper than the event. What did it mean about you?

Step 3: Match It to the Wound

The meaning you attached to the moment will lead you to the wound.

💥 That’s the story your nervous system is still trying to avoid — even if it’s no longer true.

Why “Healing” Doesn’t Stick Until You Do This

You can meditate until your chakras glow in the dark. But if your root wound says “I am powerless,” your body won’t let you relax — it’s still bracing for impact.

You can practice positive affirmations. But if your root wound says “I am undeserving,” your subconscious will reject those words as false.

You can manifest the dream partner. But if your root wound is “I am damaged,” you’ll either sabotage it or pick someone who mirrors your wound instead of your worth.

You can’t reframe a belief your body still believes is necessary for survival.

This Is the Work — and It’s the Most Important Work You’ll Ever Do

You don’t have to fix the entire wound overnight. But the moment you name it? You shift from powerless to powerful. From reactive to conscious. From stuck to sovereign.

And the healing that follows isn’t just surface-level. It’s foundational.
